How to Forward Calls with Google Voice
Forwarding calls with Google Voice allows you to redirect incoming calls to a different phone number, such as your mobile or landline. Here’s how you can set it up
Sign in to Google Voice
- Go to Google Voice.
- Sign in with your Google account if prompted.
Go to Settings
- In the top-right corner of the Google Voice page, click the gear icon (âš™) to open the Settings menu.
Manage Linked Numbers
- Under Account on the Settings page, you'll see a section labeled Linked Numbers.
- Click Add a linked number.
Enter the Number for Call Forwarding
- Enter the phone number to which you'd like to forward your calls.
- Google Voice will send a verification code to that number.
Verify the Number
- You'll receive a phone call or text message with a verification code.
- Enter the code into the Google Voice settings to confirm the number.
Set Forwarding Preferences
- After your number is linked, you can select which types of calls (from certain devices or all) should be forwarded to your linked number.
- You can also toggle call forwarding off or on by clicking the checkbox next to your linked number.
Additional Settings (Optional)
- You can configure how long the phone rings before forwarding or voicemail.
- Under Calls, you can toggle settings like Do Not Disturb or Screen Calls if desired.
That's it! Your Google Voice number will now forward incoming calls to your chosen phone number.
